News: In the midst of the chaos, a relatively quiet and much maligned player emerges to claim first place. Will Mort’s hold on the top spot last or will he, like in the children’s game king of the hill, be disposed and cast back into the mosh pit of mediocrity? Stay tuned! On The Red Zone they refer to the witching hour – where winners becomes losers and losers become winners. At the level of a fantasy season, I feel…
News: Apologies for the late newsletter. I was in Toronto yesterday and by Thursday morning I feel like the week should already be over. 2026 continues to look like a series of M.A.S.H. episodes. It used to be our biggest decisions were who do I start? Now it’s more like who can I start? In the NFL, the water cooler gossip remains the injury epidemic this year. Case in point, teams like the 49ers are getting ready to run Brandon…
News: The big news in Clan McDonald this week was of course our annual outing to Western, for an afternoon of football, camaraderie and yes, perhaps a couple of beverages in the parking lot. It was nice to see everyone and catch up a bit on a stellar October day! The highlights from fantasy were Scott managing to keep his record perfect at 4 – 0 and Ceilidh posting a rare 200+ point weekend. As they like to say in…
